Traditional Uses

Indicated for children’s stress, stomach upsets, coughs, bronchitis, colds, congestion, sore throat, and ear infections.  Also beneficial for hyperactivity, restlessness, hysteria with crying, headaches, and flatulence.  Used topically for arthritis, hemorrhoids and swelling associated with hives, chicken pox and bug bites. ^2.

Traditional Uses

One of the safest digestive stimulants; cardamom is soothing to the digestive system and indicated for bloating, diarrhea and constipation. Is warming, encourages blood flow to GI tract and stimulating in the cephalic stage of digestion. Used as a gargle for sore throats, to lower heartbeat to a controlled rhythm, and to manage hypertension. May support treatment of urinary tract infections, cystitis, nephritis, and gonorrhea. ^2.

High in antioxidants and vitamin C; used in teas for its tart flavour and rich colour. May help lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Used topically for skin sores and wounds. ^2.

Traditional Uses

Specific for the treatment of colds and flus, and acute conditions associated with fever, URT congestion, headache and nausea. Useful in rhinitis, asthma, croup, hay fever, conjunctivitis, rheumatism, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis. Known for anti-catarrhal and alterative effects useful in allergic conditions (i.e. sinusitis, asthma) with cough and excess mucous production. Especially useful for joint diseases and rheumatism. Powerful antioxidant, lower cholesterol, improves vision, boosts the immune system, and improves heart health. ^1. 2.

Traditional Uses

Has many uses – culinary, cosmetic and medicinal. As a digestive aid is highly carminative (relieves flatulence) and mildly bitter; will benefit any inflammatory or spasmodic gastrointestinal condition. Is effective for headaches, especially when stress-related. Can be effective in the clearing of depression, especially if used in conjunction with other remedies. A gentle strengthening tonic of the nervous system – helpful for nervous debility and exhaustion. Used to soothe and promote natural sleep. Applied topically for leucorrhea, eczema, psoriasis, inflammation, cold sores, fungal infections, cuts, wounds, burns, and acne. ^1. 2.
