Traditional Uses

Traditionally used for the treatment of inflammation, ulcers, cancers and parasites. Especially useful for GIT inflammation (gastritis, enteritis, colitis, and diarrhoea). Is a respiratory soothing expectorant, especially in spasmodic coughs and as a urinary soothing diuretic. Used as a soothing food and nutrient in convalescence (illness recovery). Will add bulking and softening effects to the stool in cases of spastic constipation. ^2.
