Traditionally used as a nervine tonic and sedative to treat various nervous disorders such as stress, anxiety, and premenstrual tension. May be used long-term for nervous tension and exhaustion as it relaxes these states while at the same time renewing and reviving the central nervous system. As a neuro-protective can significantly enhance mood without a reduction in energy or cognition; will reduce oxidative stress implicated in neurodegenerative disorders including depression, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
